SOMETHING HAPPENING HERE
Stephen Stills wrote “For What It Is Worth” which was recorded by Buffalo Springfield in 1967. The context was the Civil Rights Movement and the Vietnam War. The lyrics reflect 2018. What was past was prologue. Some of the words:

In an earlier blog I wrote about the link between the NRA and a fear. It appears the fear smoke is beginning to clear. Money into the NRA coffers is down $36 million from a year ago. FORTUNE MAGAZINE reported a concern from NRA leadership that the NRA might have to cease existence due to lack of financial resources. The Delta CEO has announced that Delta is ceasing its NRA discount program because the NRA does not reflect Delta’s values. Furthermore, because of Delta’s decision, the Georgia Legislature is cancelling Delta’s $40 million tax break because they have their corporate base in Georgia. That’s $40 million a year! A Russian agent has pleaded guilty for trying to use the NRA to cooperate with Russia to influence the 2016 election. Many candidates running for office openly voiced their support for common sense gun laws including universal background checks and elimination of bump stocks. The Democratic House leadership is putting gun violence prevention on its agenda for the coming two years.
There’s something happening here! Paranoia is wearying. It is about time. Enough! No more!
